Paint chalks and interiors fade faster at Whiteman than at almost any coastal field, and unprotected plastics on an aircraft parked out here have a hard life.

Bare polished aluminum has no clear coat over it, so every pass is on the metal itself.

Polishing in ramp heat is unworkable. Compound flashes, pads load up, and the panel gets too hot to control, which is why this runs at night or inside.
