Why one person matters in aviation
Flight departments and owners want the same set of hands on the airframe. Someone who already knows the paint, knows where the interior wears, and remembers what the last detail looked like. A crew that changes every visit has to learn the aircraft again each time, and learning on a polished skin is expensive.
Working nights, on purpose
Aircraft fly during the day. A detail that takes an airframe off the line for a working day costs far more than the detail did, so the work happens between the last leg in and the first leg out. That is why the hours are 24 hours Monday through Saturday, and it is why the phone gets answered at two in the morning.
Cars, too
The care that bare polished aluminum demands carries straight over to automotive paint and interiors. Plenty of aviation customers end up handing over the car as well, and Joel covers the San Gabriel Valley and greater Los Angeles for that work.
